Frank Zappa And Gene Simmons And Others Explain Why MTV And The Grunge Culture Destroyed Today's Music Business

I always thought that the music industry was getting a bit cheesy when MTV started dominating the popular culture, but everybody that I knew thought that the MTV glamor and glitz was just so super cool. It broke my heart to see Yes and Genesis being railroaded by their record companies during the early 1980's and selling out for a cheep buck. Emerson Lake & Palmer actually broke up in 1979 over this shit? I could see that less artistic freedom had become the norm, and I wasn't buying into any of it! Hind sight is 20/20. MTV was the beginning of the end for the rock music industry.....
