Uriah Heep - Dreamer / Seven Stars / Sunrise / Pilgrim / Gypsy / Easy Livin' / Salisbury / The Magicians Birthday

My two favorite Uriah Heep albums are Sweet Freedom (1973) and The Magicians Birthday (1972). You should download both of those albums in their entirety. The combo of Ken Hensley (keyboards), Mick Box (guitar) and David Byron (vocals) was killer during the early 1970's.

However, Byron's drinking problem destroyed this band after the Sweet Freedom album and the band was never the same afterwards. Byron was sacked from the band in 1976, without any public explanation. At the time, I was shocked that Uriah Heep would actually dump one of the beat rock vocalists of the time, and for decades I always wondered why it happened. Well, a few months ago I finally found out why it happened. Byron was an impossible drunkard..........

According to Wikipedia "Byron died of alcohol related complications, including liver disease and seizures, at his home in Maidenhead, Berkshire, on Thursday, 28 February 1985. He was 38 years old. His death was barely reported in the music press".

Bette Midler - The Rose

I love this song! That's why I posted it three different times and from three different sources. You just can't trust Youtube not to delete anything and everything and for the flimsiest of reasons! Hopefully, at least one of these three videos will be here for a long time? Enjoy!

Ritchie Family - The Best Disco In Town (1976)

Village People - Macho Man

The Trammps - Disco Inferno

Hawkwind - Orgone Accumulator / Space Ritual [Full Album]

Orgone Accumulator opens the second side of the Space Ritual album. If you love this song as much as I do then you will love this timeless classic from beginning to end! Enjoy!

Utopia - Singring And The Glass Guitar (An Electrified Fairytale) / Utopia (full album}

This is probably the beat album that Todd Rundgren ever made! I really need to get this one on CD myself. Enjoy!

Joan Baez ~ The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down / Blessed Are / There But For Fortune / Heaven Help Us All / 500 Miles

The Corries - Rattlin' Bog / Ettrick Lady / Lord Of The Dance / Wild Mountain Thyme / Loch Lomond / Mingulay Boat Song / Leezie Lindsay / Annie Laurie / Will Ye No Come back Again

Iron Butterfly - In A Gadda Da Vida

The Cowsills - Hair

1910 Fruitgum Company - Goody Goody Gumdrops / 1, 2, 3 Red Light / Simon Says

Just three of my favorite songs from when I was a teenybopper growing up during the late 1960's! Enjoy.......

Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard - "Pancho and Lefty"

Highwaymen - Silver Stallion / Highwayman

Del Shannon - Runaway
